Teaching in Applied Ethics I regularly supervise taught postgraduate dissertations for our programme in biomedical and healthcare ethics. I am particularly interested in the philosophy of disability and feminist approaches to bioethics. Past topics have included, for example:
The ethics of long-term seclusion in psychiatric settings
The medicalisation of mental health
Epistemic injustice in the diagnosis and treatment of endometriosis
The ethics of telemedicine abortion
I currently teach ethics for engineering students - both to PhD students in the university's Centres for Doctoral Training and to undergraduate students at the university's partner campus at Southwest Jiaotong University in Chengdu, China. I deliver lectures and seminars in a diverse set of areas covering:
