Christina Nick
Black and white picture of a young woman with light, shoulder-length hair and a fringe. She is wearing a large pair of glasses and a checked shirt. She is smiling into the camera.
I'm an Associate Professor of Applied Ethics at IDEA: The Ethics Centre, which is part of the School of Philosophy, Religion and History of Science, at the University of Leeds.

My research areas are in moral and political philosophy. Within these, I am particularly interested in the problem of dirty hands, moral responsibility, and reparations for historical injustices.

Next to my research, a significant part of my work is focussed on improving student education and I'm especially interested in inclusive and decolonial pedagogies and teaching ethics to non-philosophers.

Before working as a lecturer I completed my PhD at the University of Leeds. I also hold an MPhil in Political Theory from the University of Oxford and a BA(Hons) in Philosophy and Politics from the University of Manchester.

My pronouns are she/her.
